I wanted a lighter unit, and this new one also supposedly floats. Bought it from Boater's World for about $117 delivered. As part of keeping the price lower, they used the cheapest FedEx service which meant that three tries to deliver and you're out of luck if you're not at home and you don't want to sign off on them leaving the package at your front door. It is definitely considerably lighter than my HX500 unit.

I just ordered that same radio it is scheduled for delivery Tuesday.  After losing my lasy "cheaper" non-floating radio due to being heavier then water.  i figured it a good idea.
