My late father-in-law was an avid carp fisherman back in Missouri and the 'secret' bait they used was Wheaties! He'd soak them into a mush and then roll out 'turd' shapes. On the water you break off enough for a ball and press it onto the hook. It stays put really well and those guys always got fish, kitties love the stuff too! My 2 cents.  Tom

Saturday evening it cleared up and just before dark there must have been 20-30 big carp along the bouy line at the north end, slurping on the surface.

Great to know! I've hooked huge carp night fishing San Pablo with chicken liver. i see them chuggin' around the shorelines constantly. Your two cents make me a carp rich man. Those carp are alotta fun to site fish, and there good for a tug on the yak. Now i hear they don't eat fish eggs, There all right with me :smt023
I like to have fun.......

Nice to hear the carp are up. I was going to go fish for them today but it was to cold and windy. You will see me either walking the dam or in a grey OK drifter.
