Howdy all, I know I haven't posted here in awhile but I got a 4-stroke for my aluminum and haven't been fish'n outta the Yak like I used to when I lived up at the lake. Anyway lets get to the good stuff, someone requested that I post here from the Fishsniffer forum so here it is! Last night I took the dogs up to Zephyr Cove and ran them for about a half hour close to sunset. Then took my 'ol girl(9 foot Perception Swifty) out on 'Ol Blue and toplined a live minnow behind Seps micro-flashers. About 45 minutes into it my secret agent was taken out 300' behind me by a rocky point! The fish ran straight at the boat which told me it was probably a Brown! I reeled as fast as I could to keep tension on the line. 60 feet from the boat it leaps 3 feet outta the water and I see for sure it is a Big Brownie!!! I say to myself DON"T LOSE THIS FISH! After about 4-5 times getting it close to the boat and having it run another 20-30 feet each time I finally netted the slab! 26 inches and 6 pounds 9oz!!! I'm sure I will be using my Kayak a lot more often with the mussel gate hours and summer lake lice. Take care and good luck, Eric :smt001

WTG Eric. We talked last year when I was running "the Timbersmith" Gen Con. Remember. Your fish was the one I was chasing Thurs. Nice going! I have been watching your post on the FS and thinking about giving you a holler. I work for myself now and can get away most anytime, let me know if you ever want early morn company. Once again really nice fish.

Yeah, I remember you brother you were all clean cut and "ship". I always thought you had a huge beard and crazy long hair? My last fish on Tahoe was off a friends boat and was a Brown of the same size that we released! I've been doing a bunch of fly fishing at the Truckee, LT and EW. Gotta get back in the saddle and paddle! Thanks brother and Good luck, Eric :smt001

Your Thinking of the ever elusive "Zilla" Hopefully he will pipe up sometime and we can all slay together. I want to go again this next week somewhere by deep water. I could use some info on spots on the East side besides Cave Rock. I was thinking Meeks Bay also. I think its a easy walk to the water with a cart?
