Hey Duane,

What's the setup you are throwing for those fish?
And what's the retrieve? Swimming along the bottom or hopping and pause?

Just wondering..........

Thanks!

I am using a Penn 965 on a Penn SABER CT85M 8.1/2 feet 10 to 20 pound line 3/4 to 1oz lures
I have 15 pound maxma line to a 20 pound ballbaring swivel to a 4.in storm wild eye anchovy.

As for the retrieve I throw that bitch as far as I can then just reel it in at medmum to slow speed no bounce
but you do want to let it sink to the bottom before you start your retrieve.

now as you are retrieving when the halibut hits it you will think it is a snag so what ever you do
set the hook just in case it's not a snag and set it hard.
