Trying to decide on a first fishing kayak to purchase.  i have been looking at the Hobile Quest and wondered if it is the right kakak.
Want to get a good all around kayak for fresh and salt water. I have newer fished from a kayak so would appreciate soom help.

I think it is sea and fresh water worthy. BobN has a Quest and it is pretty fast. I
have tried keeping up with him the ARW chasing some halibut and I could not
keep up with him. I was using my T13 that day. If I may add, try and paddle as
many kayak as you can before buying one. But, I think the Quest is a good boat
all around.

Nice boat with some good features.  It sucks in big wind chop, otherwise paddles nicely.

What Jed said. Try a bunch and find out what works best for you. :smt002

Thanks for the feed back on the Hobie Quest. Is there any other kayaks that are a good all around for fresh and salt water.
Also not sure of the best place to try other brands. Everyone seems to mention the T13 what brand is this kayak. Thanks for
the help. As you can tell I have limited knowledge at this point.

Ocean kayak prowler trident 13,

 T13 for short

Aquan Sports as well as other stocks them in the bay area.

I liked the Quest too, but ended up going with a Cobra Marauder,  I think the T13 would be a better choice than the Quest if you're going to do much saltwater (big open water).
