Bought a park pass last time, so I'm gonna get my money's worth.

Mornings look sweet both days, with the winds picking up around 1:00PM on Saturday. Sunday (for now) looks a little better.

I might make a quick Saturday trip and stay as long as the winds cooperate on Sunday. Gonna TRY to get there early. 7:00ish. I start day shift next week so I need to start getting up early anyway. Channel 69. I'll post for sure before each day.

Gonna hit it in my buddy's PB tomorrow, so I'll post how we do.

Cool. Myself and Redyak will be at the gate at 7am on Sunday for a real long session.

Just swung by the Pro Shop and picked up some of those chain swivels. Hopefully gonna cut down on the spinning up of the lines problem I experienced last session.

Sunday is looking good for me, maybe.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

The more baited hooks in the water the better. Strung off of kayaks of course. Those loud mouths on the pier can pull their lines. I probably heard "Get the F*** away from the pier" or "Too close!" a hundred times as I watched sailboat/pb's cruising by last saturday am. None of them were ever too close, these guys just liked to curse & yell. One jerk even said "Watch me hit that red kayak". Of course he came up way short but I could hear those jerks laughing anyway. No I wasn't anywhere too close. Just slow trolling past. I met one cool pier guy in the parking lot. He said he had to sell his kayak because he lost his job. Felt bad for him. He also said he thought sunday would be better 4/19 and I guess Rock Hopper proved that to be true.

I'm not gonna make it on Saturday, unfortunately, but will definitely be hitting it Sunday.

See some of you guys there!

I'm riding by the R&G Club, if the wind is down i'll fish there. We should be withing vhf radio range.....i plan to drag chovie-pops. The live bait thing has not been happening for me yet, so i'll do it the easy cheap(hopefully productive) way!
If the wind is up, i'll see you guys there......it's a minus low around 7am......i plan to hit it later around 10ish(let some water in)

Ha ha, the cool guy was one of the chief complainers!

Hmmm... maybe from there perspective these boats were coming to close. I thought the ranger told me 300 feet. Also I see the post originator on the pier forum is DSRTEGL. I wonder if that's the guy I met in the parking lot? He wasn't the ones carrying on.
