I am not big on pictures, but do need a waterproof camera for bragging rights.

If you already have a camera, look for a waterproof bag or housing for it.  Save some $$$  Or check out ebay for the older Optio's and you can probably find a cheap deal.

Thanks. I heard the waterproof bags do not take good pictures.

Nope, not great...  Always a lil fuzzy.  But you can just keep it in a bag and pull it out when you wanna take a pic too.

Yep, that's what I do, but it can be a hassle, especially if it's rainy, windy, etc. but it's an easy solution until you get a waterproof camera (I'm in the market for one also).
