GF and I got up there around 11, get on the water things are looking really fishy, I think is the day I am getting that damn monkey off my back.  It was not to be.  I tried everything and nothing worked.  Lost two lures on the bottom. Lost the upper half of an ugly stick in a tree, which fell in the water to never be found again (this while I was trying to undue a backlash, had a few of those).  It just was not one of those days.  :smt013

I didn't give up, fished till sunset, but for the life of me it just wasn't happening.  One of my old bass favorites, a jitterbug slow fished could not get hit it was jitter dud.  Worms waste of time, power bait was powerless, spoons, spinners notta damn thing.  Even the locals were dead so I didn't feel so bad.  This whole report thing is getting worse and worse.  Maybe I need a young priest and old priest... anyone ever tried that????

From the pics I've seen that place is incredibly beautiful and it seems like it would be a nice paddle, fish or no...

I need to get out there.  Was it crowded?

Try not to concentrate on the fish (catching fish is a bonus for me) but enjoy the company and scenery around you.  Take lots of pictures and share you experience with others.  That's working out great for me!

With the exception of a flotilla of 5 rowing dories, there were 4-6 non fishing kayaks, three fishing PB's.  Other than that quiet.

At least you were on the water!  I was stuck in 7 hours of meetings today dreaming of the water... :smt012

But I will finally get my chance at a (another) skunk this weekend!

Andy has a great story of loosing 1/2 his ugly stick  :smt005 Hope he shares it with you, its a good laugh!
