I think they're crazy for intentionally swimming in the bay, anyway! Gross! :smt044
Even though we used to do it all the time when we were kids...and near the bay bridge toll plaza...near the East Bay MUD sewage plant...  :drool2  :smt107  :smt003

If you get stung at the Cape by "agua malo" you won't be laughing...it is CRAZY painful and will give you a welt that will last all day.  I got a big wad of tenticles on my leg last year and still have a scar...ouch. :smt010  Jellies suck!

Guess I got lucky, they were plenty thick while I was down there and got stung alot. It would last about 5 minutes and done...

I saw one of those Bay Jellies today,  They are Big/Brown Things and not our Normal white ones I usually see...

Shannon snagged some really large brown tentacles from these guys on Saturday, it must have been about 2ft long.

saw those guys a few weeks back at oyster..just driftin with the current.  tried to pick one up with my paddle and it slipped off. also saw one in santa cruz on saturday.

that article is funny in that the authorities from the aquarium tried to dismiss people from thinking the jellies are in for revenge =)  i think we watch too many horror movies these days.

Actually good you mentioned this Danglin. In the Sound we get a lot of jellies and once their bodies/tentacles get on your gear you need to clean it and add scent. Seems they actually do have a smell and salmon hate it. It's possible flatties would be the same way.
