Saw this a the Antique Fishing show,thought it might be helpful for some with limited space. You could store your paddle,gaff etc also.

Hey, We know the "Cliff" on the crate label. He built many rods for us in the years past....still got a few of them.

A similar technique is to use a bucket, line the edges with some PVC sections, and pour a couple inches of Quickrete in there to lock the PVC in place and add stability.  :)

  I was at the show also, I took a whole bunch of old tackle. I sold $300 worth of stuff and bought the Penn 16s International that's in your photo of the milk crate rod holder. I was there from 1:30 till they packed up sellers had money to buy stuff and were making end of show deals, had a great time. By the way the milk crate rod holder is nice for long range fishing were you may have 10-15 rod reel combos to deal with. However some of the boats don't allow them, takes up to much deck space.
