was on the charter boat california dawn today fishing around dux.reef and about 1:30 a guy next to me yells (holy s*%t) look at the size of this fish so i looked over the bow and saw a 10-12ft white shark just hangin out right on the surface, he stuck around for maybe 2 minutes and then he just moved on. first time ever seeing one that close, they are really scary looking even when your on a fifty foot charter boat!
WISHIN I WAS FISHIN!!!

There was a white shark sighting off a northern beach out of santa cruz last week by a halibut angler.  Dude said that he just barely pulled the halibut away from a 15 footer.

Late summer, is period of frequent shark sitings. Wouldn't you love to see one from your kayak? It would be a scary paddle back to shore.
