Need Advice on a Halibut Rod

So I've done a search to see what people might be using for a Halibut rod and have a few ideas. Can anyone lend some advice for a good trolling/ drifting rod to match up with my Penn 321GT for Halibut?

What's your budget?  For lower end, I would pick up a med/heavy Ugly Stick for about $40.

I was looking at Ugly Sticks and they seem to be a good value. So Med/Heavy with fast action for a sensitive tip? I'm a newbie to trolling/ drifting so not quite sure if that would be appropriate.

Yes.  That should be good for Rock fish, Sturgeon, Hali, and Striper, etc...  I used to love Uggly Sticks (got many from 6' - 13') before switching over to G-Loomis (but these will cost $$$$)  

+1 for the ugly stick. I have a 2pc tiger rod medium action that has caught a few halibut, one being a 24lb'er off Santa Rosa Is. IThe rod is a bit heavy for my taste now, but I do use it for bouncing when the weight is 4-8oz. I used a couple of different reels on it, with line in the 30-40lb range, braid & mono.
If you plan to use braid, ceramic guides are very nice & will be easier on the line than the standard ss guides.

I have a Ugly stick Inner coastal in a MH 6'6" that I love.I think I know of 6-7 friends and family that all fish with that same rod for lite rockfish and halibuts all the way up to shallow water sturgeon and with a Shimano tr200 its balanced for a whole day of fishing even if you hold your rod.Hell I have even caught albacore up to 30lb live bait fishing with it
