I've been on a quest for my first TW striper for some time. Woke up to windless greasy skies on the 510 side, I couldn't stand it, called in to work for some welltime, threw baitcaster gear in the truck, dashed over to the 415 side to find pouring rain gusts. 2 hours of shoreline walking and SuperSpook-dog-walking resulted in 2 hits, the first porpoising out of the water like a GW on a seal (missed hookup, forgot to set drag, DOH!), the second on a massive boil  at close range (drag  wwayy tight, fish goes berserk at surface, knots hold thankyou fishgods).

Releasing a fish tangled up in 3 sets of trebles is exciting.

My left wrist got sortof tired from the dog-walking, clearly more welltime is needed.

Any size?

#2 rod-measured about 26", #1 looked smaller. There was a fair amount of torn-up eel grass and algae-like stuff fouling the Spook frequently, but the water clarity was pretty good. Didn't see any bait or bird activity.
