So I decided to do something awesome for my girlfriends birthday this year instead of getting a fish finder

. I hit up the double tree in Modesto to see if I could swing a good deal on a suite.... and I did. Got a 2 room parlor sweet for less than $200 on a Saturday night! 10th floor and on the very edge of the building

Here is the description of the room.

Our Parlor Suites are 800 square feet and feature a sleeping room that connects to a parlor room. The parlor has 25" TVs with 27 channels, sofa bed, coffee table, two over-stuffed chairs and Jacuzzi-style bathtub with whirlpool jets. The bedroom features the Doubletree Sweet Dreams mattress and box springs, Super Topper mattress pad, down-filled comforter, Touch of Down pillows, and 250 thread-count Damask Stripe sheets as the centerpiece of this well-appointed non-smoking room. Each suite offers a Doubletree Alarm Clock Radio with MP3 connection, two-line phones, voicemail, coffee maker, refrigerator, iron, ironing board and a hair dryer. If you must work, do so at the large desk with complimentary high-speed internet access. The bathroom has a vanity area at the entrance with enough space to spread out and make yourself at home. Combed terry cotton towels and bath products by Neutrogena as well as the extra amenities make you feel further pampered. Enjoy our warm and caring service.

We had a great time, ordered pizza, had some drinks, had a nice bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub and lounged in the provided bath robes. We ran this morning and got Dennys and came back and ate in bed. What a fun time. For her birthday gift I got her a bass body pillow and I sprayed it with my cologne so when I am out fishing she can feel like I am there. It actually made her tear up, so I am thinking I did good this weekend! What do you guys think?
