Butt Hunt 4-02 thru 4-05

I have accumulated too many vacation days and am "forced" to use some or I can't accumulate any more.

I am thinking of going on a butt hunt thursday or friday or saturday or sunday or all of them.

anybody feel the need?

I am in aptos so I want to go out of santa cruz, capitola, or down in monterey somewhere. I know it is early in the season, but if nothing else, it should be nice weather.

Any advice, comments (within reason) or company welcome.

What happened to your Saturday hookup?!?!?

I went out today (Thursday) and paddled around for a couple hours.
The wind came up and whitecaps started showing so I paddled back in.

I will check out the weather to see if Friday is a go.
First I need to find my fishing license. I got out there and realized I didn't have it on me.

Where do you go to pick a replacement? Never lost one before so this is new.

Any help?

I think you need to go back to the place where the license was originally purchased.

I just got back from the sporting godds store, presented the copy andgot another one.
It cost another 8 bucks, but while there I picked up another reel, some bait, a kayak carrier and other junk.

I am ready to hit it again.

Talked to a guy that was catching some bait around the Capitola pier and he saw someone catch a butt off the pier.

I am headed out there in the morning, company welcome.

Just a note.....

West marine has wheelez (the cheaper version) for 75 dollars

Not the top of the line with ballon tires but much cheaper than 200 dollars

Yep..just watched the weather report. I really want to do a capitola/SC hookup this summer (and soon)!

I am tentatively heading to Capitola on sat.
The bait is in and I will try to pick up some of that and troll the flats for the butts.
