... then a little bangin striper action in the Delta!

Blood on the one fish is my own. In all the confusion I lost count after the 8th fish. Two double hookups, gotta love two rods bending at the same time!!

Whew baby, it was good day! :smt045

I trolled a blue/silver broken back Rebel and a large 1 oz shad colored rattle trap down the slough with no action. When I found a levee break I switched up to 2 6" Yo-zuris with rubber Robo worm trailers. And the drums started bangin'. I lost a roboworm on almost every fish, and have to admit when I ran out the fishing slowed..a little. Never really believed in the trailer worm on the plug, but must say yesterday I think is what they wanted. The hit the worm then take a second bite and it makes the strike stick. Saw two other guys running large red/white deep diving plugs with only two fish all day, so who knows. All my fish were in 5 -6 feet of water.

Nice job, where did you launch from?

Remember-its not fishing unless you are bleeding too!

I launch along Shag Slough, check 'places to launch' its getting pretty busy out there on the weekends, lots of bank anglers that like to cast out to the other side of the slough so you have to watch it if you are trolling. And they go pretty far down the slough on mountain bikes, so you wind up paddling a long ways to get beyond them. If you can get out during the week, I'd suggest that.
