Plan to hit Whiskeytown and launch at Oak Bottom ramp 9:00 ish. see if I can find a few more Kokanee and Trout :smt007

Man Id be all over that if it weren't for stupid work,seems these last few weekends the weather has been crud :smt010 I'm gonna give Shasta lake a shot on sat. morning if its not too bad weatherwise.prob launch out of jones valley if anybodys game it would be fun to hookup?

I work on call as a sub teacher, it's feast or famine :smt009
but gets me some time to fish during the week when the lakes and rivers are not crowded :smt003

Boy, I wish I could come Tad.  Darn this having to work for a living....

My buddies just got off of Shasta for 6 fish.  They said the water is muddy and cold, and the fishing was really slow.  It will likely pick up in another week or so.

I think Whiskey Town is the best bet right now.  I read an article where a guy used a retractible dog leash as a down rigger.  Not a bad idea and small for the kayak.  I might have to play around some.  I have a lake troll downrigger, but it would be a little big for the kayak.

Man it sure must be nice to have the flex schedule.  Hope you killed them up there today, let us know how you did.

I'll be launching at Jones Valley too on Saturday morning, but it's my cousins birthday so I'm taking him out on my Klamath for a beer-fest minnow-dunk session.  I'll keep an eye out for you Shawn, what color/type boat?
