Skunked again at Berryessa. I used an 8 wt with intermediate line & tried clousers, divers, various other bass flies. Also dredged some krystal buggers outside some rocky areas where I marked fish that might have been trout.

Real nice day, I'll say that! I launched at Escutero, at the very north end. Both Putah & Pope creek arms very brown, but north & south of that area it was totally fishable. Area around Oak Shores also looked but I had fished the far north end before.

I got a long distance shot of a mating pair of osprey on a nest platform. In another photo you can see the brown/green line in the lake. Seemed like a good spot to fish but no one was.

Tell you the truth, erik, I'd rather fish the delta! I do a lot better there as a rule. I decided to try Berryessa because the water conditions on a lot of the delta are tough for fly flingers - very murky.

I pretty much fish on Saturdays, as I have to work M-F. That's totally cool that you can get out on Mons & Tues - that's a real good idea on the delta as sometimes Sats. can be crowded. I will say I had plenty to room to roam at Berryessa - and I didn't see any fish caught by any of the other folks out.

I expect to be back on the delta 3/21.
