Hello everyone.  This is my first report.  Hopefully many to follow this year.
Went to  lake Ming just outside of bakersfield last Saturday.  My friend caught a nice three pound large mouth from shore on a brush hog.  My real intention of the trip was to introduce him to kayak fishing which I did.  Maybe next time he'll hook up from the kayak.

Great pics.
One nice thing about NCKA is I always learn something new. I never heard of Lake Ming.

Isn't that the lake they used to have drag boat races on? Nice shot of you and your kid.

Way to get the little one out on the water. Nothing better than introducing the young ones to fishing and the outdoors.

...and get a life jacket on that kid!  JK, Andy, I know you probably just plopped him on your lap for a photo op right by shore.  Tell us Mama was chiding you from the bank, "be careful with (junior)!!!"   :smt061 :smt079

Nice first report - story, photos, Good Times - you covered the bases.   :smt001

Thanks guys.  Yes lake Ming has the boat drag races. Caught many big bass while they were speeding across the water.  Abking you are right.  He was begging to get in so I let him float with me for a few minutes while my wife complained.
