Fished Quarry lakes in Fremont on Saturday with a buddy of mine.

He was in his little boat with his daughter and his girlfriend.

I was on my yak.

Got there late (about 1 PM).

Trolled a variety of hardware.

I caught one pretty soon after I started on a flasher with a nightcrawler at the back end of the lake (by the buoy, if you know the area).

It was about 15-16" long.

My buddy, Chris, caught an 8-lb trout on the same rig at around 4 PM close to the launch ramp (very nice fish, his largest ever and he fishes a lot).

The day before Chris was out there and helped some guy net a monster at around 11-12 lbs.

It appears as though they planted some nice fish in the pond.

The bad news is that it costs a bit to fish there.

For the Entrance fee, Kayak fee, Fishing permit, and Boat inspection they bled me for $14.

Still, there are some very nice trout in there.

You had better luck than I did at Del Valle.  What type of flasher did you use and how much leader between the worm and the flasher?

Nice report.

$14 to fish is a bit steep. No pics?

That bouy has been a good spot for me too.

There's some interesting structure there and a nice hump that goes from there that runs off towards the point, if you didn't notice.

Matt,  I used a Seps sidekick attached to a snelled #6 hook (about 8" from flasher).

Calbear, Chris's girlfriend took some pix with her phone.  They didn't look to hot on the screen when I saw them.  I'll see if I can get a soft copy to post of his big fish.

Eric, Yeah, the bottom is all over the place.  That area right around the buoy had fish hanging around it just about every time I went by.  In 25 - 40 ft of water you have to be right over them to pick them up on the scope. If I went back, I'd get there early and go to the buoy first thing.
