After looking at the tides and weather I'm bummed that I can't find a good sturgeon fishing location for Saturday, so I think I'll be heading to Del Valle for the day.

I'll likely be there by 8:00 am and the plan is to drag J-9 or maybe even J-11 rapalas in search of a monster trout.
Company is welcome!  :smt006

Trolling is slow in the south end because of poor clarity. Check the fishsniffer trout forum for intel. Got skunked last sat before the AOTY.

I figured with the rain it was probably getting muddy, but I'm getting stir crazy with all of the travel I have had to do for work lately. I know that trolling, especially with big J-9/11's is going to be a low probability game, but at this point I'm more interested in a good day of paddling than I am in needing to catch a fish.

I'll probably make one pass along the south end and then paddle toward the dam. The wind might come up, so that will play into my plans and how long I stay too.
