I unfortunatly cant make it there this Saturday due to prior commitments.

however i am planning on going to Tomalas Bay For Halibut in a about two weeks

im going up for a day trip either thursday the 19th, fridaythe 20th, or Saturday the 21st

so im open if anybody wanted to go up     :fishing2 :fishing1

You are talking about the 19th 20th of August aren't you? Don't think your going to find many halis in the winter. They only come in to spawn in the warm months, unless..........you know sumthin' I don't  :smt002

I'll be up there with the wife, but not for hali's...that's going to be one of the lowest tides in a while, and she is itching for some clams  ;)

I'm planning on heading up there for some clams also. The wind forecast will decide for me. I have spare tools to share if any of you plan on being there on a weekday, Thu. 19th or Fri 20th. If I go on a weekend, I will probably have buddies with me hogging the extra gear.

are there regs against fishing for halibut in the winter?

You can fish anytime you want for them, it's just that they come in during the warmer months to spawn in the bays. The rest of the time is spent out in the ocean. Never know tho....

   We should be out at Tomales Bay on Thursday late afternoon pump'n shrimp in preparation for Friday's sturgeon hunt in the bay. Hope to run into you out there.
