Ive looked into that unit. Lots of cool features. Let us know how it works out for you, I may end up buying one after I hear some more good reviews on it.

My legend lasted about 14 months before the entire screen went black and became useless. If you buy software that lets you upload gps points to a pc I got a twelver for you if you can help me get some of my waypoints back.

My etrex legend has been working fine for several years now.  I haven't really used it to the limits of it's capabilities though.

I once thought I'd toasted a garmin GPS but later found that I'd accidentally adjusted the contrast all the way up.  Look into that for the blacked out one.  ;)

I have the garmin 60 csx and love it. On these rainy (not so fishable ) days i use it to go explore new fishing spots, and see whats near by .Pretty nice and easy to use. Also helps me find a warm meal afet a long day fishing in new areas.

Read the manual to see how to adjust the contrast and try to do it blind.  I think I had to briefly depress the power button than up and down on the joystick would adjust the contrast.
