outriggers

Does any one on the west coast use outriggers and why not ?

Most left coast kayak fisherman are in SOT kayaks that are pretty stable. Most outrigger users I've seen are guys sightfishing the flats for tailing fish. Where height is an advantage for sigh and casting distance.
Kayaks are so stealthy anyhow unless there is a specific need, why bother.Outriggers are a lot more hassle and extra gear to pack and move. Unless there is a specific advantage for using the like sightcasting to bedding bass.
