2, 3 days ago we were getting rained on. The rivers didn't go nuts but they did go up in flow. Not much, but finally in the right direction at least. Yesterday was beautiful, dry, and sunny. Nice to experience as I paddled the lake, yet, the lake looked so different because of its' diminished size! The warmth of the sun was so nice, BUT WE NEED RAIN!
Today I managed to squeeze in a much needed bike ride. I almost made it but the rain caught me half way through. As I pedaled on, I thought of wearing a wetsuit on my yak. I made it back to the car very wet and just short of shivering. I had trouble working the key to unlock the car. But I digress, it is now RAINING! It's still raining steady, big, drops. I hope I get to listen to it for many days to come.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Yeah, we heard it beating against the windows and even thunder last night, my wife pulled up the 10 day forecast and it called for rain every day but 1.  More importantly it's also snowing up in the mountains.  Rain in the bay area isn't going to ease our water problems.

I'd just transplanted a bunch of brassicas to the garden last night and planted peas, so that should get them to a good start.

Checked the forecast, it can not be true!   Hope it is though, even if it puts the kibosh on my trail running.  As much as I hate having to run on the treadmill, bring on the rain!!  Bring it!!

Come to papa!

We were planning a trip up to Dodge or Bear this weekend for some family skiing, but with the forecast looking the way it does that's probably not going to happen.  Instead, last nite when my wife got home she said something about maybe renting a cabin down in Big Sur for a couple of days...I was half asleep so maybe it was a wishful dream, but I'm all behind that!  Wonder if she'll get mad if I bring my fishing rods... :smt003

YEP, BRING IT ON!  :smt045

I could do without the wind but if it brings more rain, I'm not complaining.

Check before you go to Sur, some of the Parks are closed right now.  GF's co worker went down there two weeks ago, said most of the Parks were closed.

Forecast for most of this week going into the weekend is rain.
