I've read that a couple of you guys have this boat and think its the fastest SOT tandem on the market.  Are there any knocks on it that you can think of?

It would be for occasional fishing/paddling use with the wife or friends.  I know that tandems are known as "divorce boats" but she wouldn't divorce me because I'm poor and she would only be assuming half of my debt  :smt001

Because of its long length would it be easier to paddle tandem since the paddles will likely not hit each other?

Has anyone installed rod holders on these?  How did you go about it?

The one I'm looking to get has the seatbacks but not a full seat.  Would seatback + butt pad be sufficient?

I have one and it is as good as SOT tandems get.  I love mine.  Papa Bill has one too.

I have one of these beasts myself. The only rigging I have done so far is two flush mount scotty holders for trolling. I got the boat for my little niece to take her fishing. She's only 2 1/2 so I have plenty of time for the rigging.

brian, the square flushmounts or the round ones?  how well do they fit?

hopefully my wife agrees and i will pick it up this weekend. considering i havent finished my trident yet I dont know when i'll begin working on another yak.  probably basic stuff.  I am wondering about a fishfinder since the zest doesnt have the hatches in yet.  My wife would like one to play with. maybe a portable one with suction cup transducer mount.

The square style. They fit nicely. I'll take some photos this weekend.
You're welcome to borrow the yak to test it out if you want.

Buy it now!

You can always sell it for more and still give someone a good deal later if you dont like it.
