I'm not sure what to think about that.  I've been around for over a half century, lived in SF for 15 years, and never felt like I needed something like that.  I guess stuff happens, but never really to me or anyone I know personally.  The first guy seems like a little scaredy-cat.

IMHO, if a person feels like I needed something like that, that probably says something about them. Or they live in Compton.

But that guy in the F&*#! Y'ALL t-shirt handing a petite girl that 50 cal... Harr, harrr. Yeah, whatta jackass.

the judge would be ideal for those pesky raccoons nesting under the house. :smt071

Looks like an ideal weapon to discourage back seat driving. All I'm using now is a stern look, and that is losing it's effectiveness.

It's everyone's right to choose to not be a victim.  This is an excellent tool to prevent victimization.

The Judge is cool but isn't CA legal... short barreled shotgun.

I believe it fairly popular as a snake gun... looks like fun.

That looks like fun, but I'd go with this:  :smt002

Yeah, I think the 44 barrels for the contender are illegal because you can fit a 410 shot-shell in there.  One could get a BFR in 45-70 and reload it with shot for the same effect though.

However, if you look at it, the damage is mostly in a 1-2" hole.  A little shot is spread further, but it's probably not going to do much damage if you catch someone with the edge of the pattern, especially considering the short barrel will give a lower muzzle velocity and energy is proportional to V^2.  Guys occasionally get wanged with a #6 at ~100 yards while pheasant hunting and it usually just leaves a small bruise...
