late launch with findthatfish around 9:30.  gabrielle gets to the launch site before we do and gets on the water faster.  he really wanted to go fishing!

the bay was very calm with no wind.  very nice conditions.  paddled out to allen and said hello.  set up and started the waiting game.

30 minutes later gabrielle announces he's hooked!

nice fat one.  in under an hour!  congratulations again gabrielle.  that was a nice fish. :smt007

allen, findthatfish and i move to gabrielle's hot spot and hope for the best.

nothing.  allen decides to call it a day and i decide to change locations.

findthatfish stays and sticks it out.  he is rewarded with a bunch of junk fish and his first sturgeon.
i'll let him describe his catch.  i believe it was a fun one.

i finally get some action as i am contemplating leaving.  hooked him after a bunch of false bullhead alarms.  had some trouble with my anchor so he pulled a lot of line.  after unlatching i pull him in close and he jumps about five feet away from me!  short fight maybe 10 minutes but it was great! :smt001

head back to shore and he measures a nice fat 61".

thanks for your shrimp gabrielle.  they definitely helped.

i know you are on the water now but, good luck today allen.

no pics.  everyone had a camera except me.  hope they post some pictures.

andy.

Dude, you are making me so jealous. I can't wait to be there tomorrow. I certainly
hope the fish are still around for us tomorrow. Congrats on the big sturgeon.
