I'll be there bright and early! The bait shop here in Vallejo has ghost and grass shrimp, but they don't open until 6:00 tomorrow :smt011 So, I plan on picking some up tonight and trying to keep them alive in my refrigerator over night. Wish me luck with that!

For those interested, Norm's Bait Shop at the Vallejo Public Launch has got lots of ghost and grass, but try to keep that between us kayakers!

If need be I can pick up some extra bait, but I'll need to know before 6:00 pm. Keep in mind, you'll be gambling on my ability to keep the bait alive overnight, but I'm willing to try for you.   :smt002

I got a pretty overwhelming response on the bait offer so I'm going to have to cut it off early in order to have room in my fridge and a decent shot at survival for the bait. It's going to cost me a bit of WAF to keep these in the fridge, but bringing home a sturgeon would cancel that out, so here's to hoping!  :smt044

I'll be picking up 4 dozen ghost and 2 lbs grass.

I'm going to keep a dozen of the ghost and 1/2lb of the grass.
Marmite requested a dozen ghost
I'll bring a 1/2 lb of grass for Otobepelagic
So that will leave 1/2 pound grass and one dozen ghost each for Stromscrambler and Pisciform.

See you in the morning!  :smt006

BTW, Mike's in Oakland won't have ghost shrimp 'til Tuesday - it actually does fly in (with a little help) - comes from Oregon.

I am gonna try and make it out as well....I am shrimp challenged but I have some squid and 'chovies. I'll also have a stash of beer and plenty of lead sinkers in case ppl need some. Happy to trade or buy a few shrimp. Otherwise I'll make do with what I got.

Mission accomplished! The grass shrimp are FAT too. They are all resting comfortably in the refrigerator. I had the bait shop pack them properly in a large cooler and they assured me that they thought that they should survive no problem.  :smt004

BTW, because they are in a cooler, they aren't in bags, so you should bring your own ziplocks or whatever you would like to store your bait in.
