California City

I just read on USA fishing that Cal City is heating up. Anybody want to go out there? I've never fished there, and don't really know the launches very well...Tiburon maybe?

if you go on a weekday the gate to that "ocean studies college" will be open, i have launched there before. check out the salmon the tyee club is raising in the floating pens. on a weekend launch at paradise cay marina.  a word of note however, california city is rarely "hot".

Yeah, I figured that, but one big salmon would be well worth a day on the water.

You might have better luck with Halibut in those parts... been a pretty consistent spot for me July / August in past years.

I've latched from Paradise Pier Park... better have a cart though for the walk up hill (paved trail) which is a good workout.  You're not Really supposed to lauch down there by the "do not enter" sign to the left of the pier... go figure.  I've sweet-talked the ranger into allowing it several times though.

go down 2  Paradise marine there is a boat ramp there the place  is a mess had 2 duck under the walk way 2 get out was out last week not a bite but iam think about going west of the golden gate bridge there is a beach near there i have hit rock fish & butt from a boat out near this beach  many of times also east of the gate there is a rock wall that hold rock & ling would 2 hookup for sat 9-3-05
ave 2 get out in fish 2 clear my head i have lot of family in new Orleans i need a break
