Does anyone else have a canon elph and has posted pics? I have downloaded the software that came with camera but when I try to post pics the screen just goes blank. This is after loading the pics to the post and then hitting the post link. Very strange. Thanks in advance if you can help. Craig

Craig what OS does your computer have? I never use the software that comes with a camera, I just use it as an external drive to download, then if I wanna make my fish look bigger I use Photoshop  :smt003

I'm not sure I understand what's happening but are you on a Mac? I had some weird things happen when trying to load photos from my old Canon PowerShot - I opened iPhoto first & that fixed everything. If you're not using a Mac, never mind!

Craig, get a card reader, and use picassa, it is a free program from google  very easy to use especially to import or export pics. If you have any problems feel free to pm or call me.

Elph takes great pictures however the size may be to big for the form to handle, Try to shrink them down for posting. Had same problem when I first got my Olympus.

Easiest is to re size in the camera then download.

Thanks Mike. The learning curve is interesting with all the instructions that come with the camera.I reset the size the pictures take so I should be alright from now on. Well maybe. I'm still a doofus.

Rather than reducing the quality (size) of a photo in the camera, I'd recommend using a picture resize tool after you've downloaded your high quality photos to your computer. There are plenty of resize tools to choose from, but for simplicity's sake, I set up my pops with Windows' version. The Windows XP utility can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx

Fifth download from the bottom - once installed, it's as simple as right clicking on the photo you want to shrink, and selecting a quality setting (medium should work wonderfully). Done. No more 4 MB e-mails of dad's weekend perching conquests bogging down my inbox.
