Happy New Year to all...I met some good folks this year, although it unfortunately had to be at the MLPA meetings...but 2008 wasn't bad, salmon aside; I got halibut for the first time in years, speared my biggest ling, got my first vermillions from the kayak, and got my first 9" abs.

In 2009, I plan on getting a 10" ab, and want to fish new places like Elk...See you all soon.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Wow what a year! Ramon has had the hot (muy caliente) hand too many times. I may have to switch to a large spinning rod/reel for rockfish and lings. This was the first fully year in the x factor. What a difference, comfort, live bait tank, ff, cup holder. I never thought I would be able to land WSB from Monterey Bay, Wrong. I didn't think my pb California Halibut would be from a yak. I didn't think you could land so many quality Rockfish from a yak, wrong. I hope to see many of you in the new year and prove myself wrong again. Happy new year to all.
