No pics yet but yesterday my Bro in law landed a 45 1/2 inch and 53 lb striper off Annappolis in his pb. They call them rockfish over there but they taste just the same.

I'd love to see a picture of it...yep, the east coast striper and bluefishing is awesome. I've fished Martha's Vineyard a few times and the blitzes of blues are sensational, not to mention stripers ripping through schools of squid.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

That is a HUGE striper!!  Our West Coast versions look so skinny compared to that!

Wow.

Those 45inchers are so hard to come by around here. If I ever catch one, sorry to
say but I am going to keep it and have it taxidermed.

You know that you can take a few pictures and have somebody make an exact replica.  You get the best of both worlds, a fishy on the wall and a big fishy either to eat or let swim again to produce more big fishies.

BTW, nice job G-man's bro-in-law!

Thanks dilbeck, I did not know that you could have a replica of the actual fish made.
Good to know. I almost kept the fish I dream of cathing someday.

I've never had it done so I don't know the specifics but you probably need a few measurements as well.  Maybe length and girth.

BTW, I'm not preaching catch and release, I'm just saying that a replica is an option.  I know that personally it would be a very hard decision for me.  I'd want to take it home for bragging rights and to eat, but I'd be taking otherwise good genes out of the fish population.
