I survived and bought it.  Here's the scoop on it.  It wasn't actuallya Revo a we all figured.  It is a mirage drive boat but an early one.  I'm looking further into it.  For the price it was a decent deal.  I know the early mirage drives have some issues but this is more for the wife to cruise (I think).  The boat itself was in very good condition.  The owner had broken his back a few years ago and couldn't sit very comfortable anymore and had to get rid of it.  So in short the boat was good just a labeling issue.

 Could be worth a new Hull

The kayak is a Mirage Classic.  Danglin' what do you mean by a possible new hull?  I'm interested.  The drive unit is the older unit with the standard fins.  The wife should enjoy it.  I just have to keep the drive alive.  This makes 7 kayaks.  I really need to part with a couple.  I don't have room in the garage for them all.  Anyone need a Preception Prism SOT or a Prection America SIK?  Pics will be forthcoming of the new edition.

a certain # of 05 Outbacks had Hull issue's where the the Drive snaps in, Some developed leaks as well as locking mechanisms that would strip out.

Hobie has been replacing these hulls. You can find the serial # range by doing a search on the Hobie site or just using a search engine...
