Steering rudder cable broke at screw post. Looks like the cable pulled out Maybe an area you want to reinforce with a crimp. Sucked paddling back in with a nasty tailwind!

Saw that at Stillwater and was going to tell you before you left,
If your in the area of Fresno bring it by the store and I will fix it for you ( should take about 5min.)

I am in Davis, near Sacramento. I was able to go to my local Ace and get an aluminum crimp. .39 cent fix, so not a big worry probably do the other side preventatively!

I am also noticing now that the rails the foot pegs are in are starting to bow guess I'll have to sink some screws into them as well.

Check the screws on all the hardware,
A lot of them are only black plastic. I had 3 fail and changed them all to stainless, much better.

okay, Ocean Kayak doesn't make a stainless rail do they? Secondly, do you know if there is a way to attach an extention on the footpegs to cover the whole bottom of your foot? I find that they outsides of my feet go numb sometimes and could be alleviated if I had a wider surface area to rest on. Thanks R
