Got off to a late start and was in the water by 130pm.  Overcast and cold, but, no wind.  Small swells and a hightide rocky launch made her a little interesting.  Dropped traps at 40' of water in a triangle and just went around and checked them for 2 hours.

Pulled up some large Rock Crabs that were bigger than most dungys I'd ever seen so I kept them.  All there was in my trap and hoops was rock crabs.  Saw 3 Dungys, 1 baby, 1 female and 1 male.  Ended up with 6 large Rock Crabs(huge) and 1 decent Dungy.

Was off the water and rolling by 430pm for home.  Tried to fish but my reel was froze up.  Coulda woulda took pics, but I'm sure everyone here has seen a crab or two.  Crab fiesta time.  JTF

:smt010  Don't hate us for wanting to see your ever-evolving (aging) mug in a Snifferish pose with a crab!   :smt003

Way to go on the crabs - where's P-Town?   :smt005

I never get tired of fish pics, (or crabs too, or, or, or, or abs, or just about anyting that might come out of the ocean)

I don't mind the rock crabs. I will keep the larger ones as I think they make the best crab cakes. We just got through with a pile of roasted dungies with garlic and a salad with rock crab cakes. You gotta love this time of year. I am guessing P-town is Pacifica? Would like to do a Linda mar launch sometime.
