Fabulous fall weather today. Couldn't get out early enough to fish, so I took my new ride (k2 bike) out for a spin along the river. I intended to do a short 4.5 mile ride from Watt to CSUS and back up the other side. I enjoyed the ride so much that I ended up doing a 16.9 mile ride from Watt to downtown and back.

The wildlife viewing was very enjoyable and most abundant around CSUS. :smt002

The river is low, slow and green. I stopped to watch it from the 160 bridge and the Guy West walk bridge. Noticed just a few people fishing from the bank. Turned out to be a great day on the parkway.

I took a few poor quality pics with my cell phone. Also attached my gps kmz file for google earth viewing.

Nice non-fishing report!  Nice pictures from a cell phone.

Although I'll admit, I was hoping for a few pictures of the wildlife that resides in and around CSUS.  Oh well, maybe next time.

Tempting...but a face full of pepper spray might have ruined my day. :smt010 :smt002

It all depends on who is doing the spraying Al.  :smt002
Is one of your pics, the one with the log, taken from the golf course??

No. It's farther down river. Across from the west end of Paradise Beach.

We need a chicken emoticon. Or alternatively one for... er, um, another word for "kitty."

Wish I had a real river within biking distance. Coyote, Los Gatos, and the Guadapupe just don't cut it.
