Took the Family to the show with High expectations...

As being a Big Fan of the Old One, I was Very Disappointed.... :smt009

Very expensive and about a 3rd ( if that ) of the Exhibits of the past,

here's a few pics, but just wondering if it was just me???

HydroSpider was a no show, so I took his nameplate instead.... :smt002

I thought those Canaries were a No take!!!!

Wife & I went there 2 weeks ago.  The Academy of science.  We missed getting into the planetarium and the "Bio-dome" Just way too crowded for us (On a Monday at that!) I was also a little dissapointed.  Maybe my expectations were set a little high? Next time if we decide to visit it again, we'll be there when it opens and do the planetarium first.

Ya, did the weekday thing too and the planetarium passes were long gone, rainforest line was out to Ecuador...

I loved the old one, even donated a Black and white alligator lizard to them as a Kid...
Very proud moment for me... :smt003

 He died there... :smt010

The Koolest thing ever was one early morning while I was Paramedic in the city, we got called there for a Movie Standby, " The Bachorlett or something like that ".. anyway,

The aquarium was open and Dark...  I got to walk thru all alone with a Flashlight,

 It was Awesome..... :smt007

We went there a few weeks ago and we were VERY disappointed.... :smt011 We timed the planitarium perfect. We walked right in, and were disappionted with it too. Mostly showed the stars and talked about the what ifs about distant gallexies... I thought it was going to be a great view of our world...not!! Old one was MUCH better.

funny....wife and i went there last weekend, and i actually liked it. Crowds were out of control-- but that's to be expected. The building is wonderful--BUT- lot of the corridors are tight, and dead end (bizarre for a public building).
My daughter just wanted to lay on the floor in front of the glass of the coral reef...and just stare....

The wife&I tried to get in this sat., but the line was long and it was raining. Hit the DeYoung instead and will be back for the disappointing Aquarium on a "early" day in the near future......why couldn't they just return it the way it was! :smt010
