After talking with the wife, we (Yes, my wife and I!!) are going to go to Indian Valley Res. She still has a little trouble when it comes to paddeling for a period time, but she wants to give it a try. I'm going to take all my gear and see what happens and see what marks on the FF. I hope to get her out of bed at O' dark thirty, but that is questionable. Hope to be there by 8AM, but will probably be there by 9AM. All are welcome to join.  :smt006

good luck Rory.
ill look forward to your fishing report.

Id recommend a white plus some mendo mustard, pretzels, smoked turkey, multiple cheezes, grapes or dried apricots. All this then make sure you apply the sun screen for her and she will love kayaking.

I thought you were making tackle recommendations through "multiple cheezes"!   :smt003   :smt044

I'll be looking very forward to the report on this remote spot.  I've never been there, but I've been to Pilsbury and some of the surrounding areas (18 years ago and not fishing).  Being the headwaters of the Eel, or in IVR's case just over the hill, it's country that I've always wondered about.  Especially all those drives back and forth in college, much along Cache creek, between Davis and Humboldt.  From there up into the Yolla Bolly's to the north there are some pretty wild places.

Good luck, and have fun, Rory and Mrs. Rory!  (and take lots of pics and maybe some video please.   :smt001)
