The box I have I got maybe 15yrs ago? I don't know the exact size, it's not a big box, and it does fit with spare room in my OB's back area.  As mentioned earlier, I haven't seen a need to actually anchor it down yet.  I've made due without one back there this long, for the type of fishing I do.  I was curious as to what everybody carried in their box.
To give you an idea of why I haven't used one so far, heres what I usually load my OB with when I go out.  To hit Loch Lomond here in SC county, I bring my double sided tackle box that came with my original 04' model OB (In the fishermans package), it resides behind my seat, 2 or 3 smaller Plano boxes with soft baits, crank baits, kept inside the hull(center hatch) I keep wallet, phone and powerbar type snacks in a ziplok bag, center hatch (hull) again.
One of my ultra lite rods is stored in the hull through the center hatch, any clothing articles removed due to heat are stuffed into center hatch,
On deck, I keep my long needle nose pliers (leashed), water bottle, it floats so no leash for it, 2 rods my trout rod, and my bass rod, one not in use is leashed, sun screen is kept in one of the drink holders.

Occasionally my small Hobie cooler (fishermans package again) it rests behind seat also.  Oh and my 5lb anchor.  It's line is kept in the small Hobie anchor bag, its also kept behind the seat within reach.
PFD, If cold is worn, or if very hot, tossed behind the seat. (I know, my bad!)
Hemostats are clipped to PFD on a little line keeper (Used to retract entry badges here at work) and my little scissors are on a line keeper.
Other than using the Plano box for an anchorage for rod holders, I'm not really seeing a need to install it right now.

Where do you get the tri-holder?  I want one!

Yes, I got mine at West Marine.  If I was to do it again I think I'd go with the singles though, and mount them at offset angles.

If you go with offset angles be careful not to flare the lateral holders too much if you launch from docks, piers or from motherships. Too much angle increases the likelihood of rod damage or pissing someone off like a deckhand or dock angler.  :smt005

I bought a plano box from WM a year or two ago to use on my P13, but it doesn't fit right.
It won't go down into the well very far.
The bottom of my plano is aprox 12.75" x 6.5". Do other P13 owners have the same problem?

Look at the pic of mine Al. I cut out the corners and then gooped some inflatable raft repair material in its place. Mine now goes all the way to the bottom of the tank well.
If I did it again I would try some PVC glue instead. Might work a little better.

Ahhh... I see that now. Looks good and easy enough to modify.

Thanks Mike.

I use a bunjee / clip combo to secure the box. I prefer this method cause the bungee will "give" a little if and when my kayak rolls in the surf and my box pops out.

Just my two cents - pics to follow...
