OK, that got my attention...

I think I heard about a jumping sturgeon killing a boater a year or two ago.

Anyway, wouldn't wanna get hit by either one but these carp sound just gross!
From article: "The Environmental Protection Agency started a program allowing cities to use the fish to help clean the water in sewer treatment plant ponds."  :tongue6:

I"ve seen a couple of videos on this species of carp , a slow moving boat and a few bow hunters . As many as 20 fish in the air at any given time , with quite a few landing in the boat or hitting shooters , looks like great sport although I personally can't see  killing them for the hell of it .

They are exploding in population so fast back east The commercial fisherman are harvesting them like bio-mass-fertalizer, catfood, anything they can use them for. They are like fleas their so thick in some areas. Kill as many as you can.

Doesn't look much like the carp we're used to seeing.

Looks more like a shad.
This is the most fun way to handle them:

I think that was a bat ray or sting ray. (Pretty big as I recall) that leaped out and killed a guys wife, while they were travling fast on the water.
