Great story.  Congrats Jedmo.  That's more motivation to buy that Optio.

Reminds me of my first kayak fish many years ago.  I was taking my new Hobie Outback for a short maiden voyage at the Rockwall and the next think I know... I had a 30+ inch halibut on the line with no gaff or net  -- A big time rookie move.  Needless to say, that ended in a heartbreak, but began my addiction.
