My employer is opening up a new position in the Fresno area. Here are the specs for anyone who might be looking.

Job Title                     
: Field Engineer
Location    : Fresno, CA
Department    : Field Operations
Division    : Banknote Processing




Position Function:

Performs installation and maintenance of equipment systems at customer site on a variable shift schedule that is determined by customer need. Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive attention to customer requirements and positive customer interactions. Performs all administrative duties including record keeping, information reporting, and inventory management.


Responsibilities:

    * Performs first line maintenance on the equipment at customer site to ensure the assigned machine is maintained at the established levels.
    * Maintains technical competence through formal training programs, on-site training, and on-the-job training.
    * Adheres to the Customer’s Custody and Control Procedures.
    * Responds to service calls from customers in a timely manner.
    * Manages on-site inventory of parts and spares. Coordinates shipment of parts for repair and replenishment.
    * Assists operators with operational problems that occur during a shift.
    * Ensures that the required Preventative Maintenance is performed.
    * Records maintenance activities using approved methods and procedures.
    * Manage on-site inventory of tools and test equipment.
    * Follows escalation procedures to assure that problems are resolved expeditiously and that timely communications are maintained with designated G & D and customer management.
    * Actively promotes a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining open communications and providing proactive attention to customer requirements.
    * Provides coverage for other Field Engineers during vacations, illnesses, etc. on an as required basis. Coverage can be at the home site or could require travel to other sites.
    * Performs administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
    * Demonstrates flexibility to travel, as necessary in support of business needs.
    * Performs all activities in a safe manner and adheres to company policies and procedures relating to safety.
    * Adheres to policies concerning confidentiality of company information.
    * Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

AAS Degree (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent with four years experience as a Field Engineer in a related high tech field.

Experience should include a strong Electro-mechanical background, firm understanding of electronic principles, and a solid operating knowledge of computer systems and PC’s. Knowledge of solenoids, pneumatics, cylinders, belts, rollers and guides.

Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and must successfully pass background check and drug screening test

Salary to be commensurate with experience.
