          I went to the Outdoor Pro Shop and found a Daiwa ADD17C for $59.99. Anyone have any experience with the ADD17C
Accudepth® Plus Line Counter Reel?

I have a pair of them E. They've seen a fair bit of action on the boat but have only seen the yak a few times.  I can't comment directly on their long term ability to withstand sand baths or saltwater dunkability cause I haven't put them through the full agarcia brutality test but after a year of boat use and light yakking they're still kicking.  Feature wise the line counter kicks @ss, can't wait till its time to troll stripers cause this baby's gonna make things way easier.  I imagine that if we had a salmon season the counter woulda helped out a ton there also.  The stock drags are still functioning, one of em got a bit sticky but its time to break em down and tani them anyway.
I'd call it a good purchase if your adding it to your quiver as a light action inshore reel for trolling/vertical fishing which is what....95% of our fishing  :smt003.  I'd go with something else if it was gonna be an all around reel thats gonna see alot of action doubling as a caster or a rig you're gonna use to soak bait while on the hook (not that it wouldn't suffice there, just not ideal)

        I only have a Penn 9M and, a 505. I like the idea of a line counter
instead of, "How many pulls" looks like a good idea.

I don't have those but I have several other Sealines and they kick ass.
