Yakattack,

I hope you can find those pesky little parts that you need to get your ride back together. Glad to hear you are healed up too. I took the CHP riding course 25 years ago in Los Angeles. I learned a lot of safety tips and situations to avoid. Rode for many years, then got hitched, had kids, and quit riding while they were young. 20 years later, kids are grown, neighbor is selling his 97 Roadking, so I bought it. Decided to take the Santa Cruz Sheriff's motorcycle safety course just to be sure that I hadn't forgotten anything or missed something the first time. They asked me what bike I rode, told them, so they put me on a Honda 125 because it had forward controls like the Roadking.  :smt005 I'm 6'5", looked damn silly on that little machine.

But the refresher course was good, and I am a better rider because of it.

Keep the rubber on the road and the shiny side up!!

Rich

Thanks Rich. Are those courses available to the general public?

Russ,

They are public courses usually coordinated through local city colleges.

It just so happened that in LA the CHP were the trainers, and here in Santa Cruz its the sheriff's office.
