I checked out Big Break Marina on the Delta today.  Their launch fee is $5.00.  Most Delta marinas charge $10.00 from what I have found.  Looks like a good spot for LMB.  I'll be trying Monday around 6:00 AM when the marina opens.  Anybody wanting to join a newbie at Delta bass fishing is welcome.  I'll be monitoring channel 69.

Martin - BB is a great spot to launch and is one of the few places that is still protected from the strong winds that can whip up out there. Boat traffic is pretty minimal as well.

I wish I could go but I have to work.

It looks like we are fairly close to each other, let me know if you want to meet up on the water on the weekends.

I'm open almost any time.  Experience is limited but time is rarely an issue.
I'm open to bay or delta any time.

Martin, I have to be back in Concord by 12:30 but I'm gonna try to make it out there early tomorrow am.
If I can pull it off, I'll be there ready to launch no later than right when the marina opens. If I get there early, I might look around to see if there's anywhere that's not too tough to launch sans ramp.

Aaron - the ramp that they have is pretty good but be warned that it is very slippery when the tide is low so be careful. As for additional spots to launch in the immediate area, not sure there is any. I checked out the park that is on BB road but that is about a 1/4 mile walk to the water with limited water access. They are supposed to build a yak launch in the near future though.

Tight lines!

Aaron,    There's a new park being built just before you get to the marina.  It's on the right as you head toward the marina.  I drove down the gravel road all the way to the new fishing pier but didn't see any place that looked like a possible launch site.  There are lots of big rocks along the levy.  You might be able to carry the yak across the rocks but it didn't look too good to me.  I'll see you on the water if you decide to launch somewhere other than Big Break Marina.  I plan to get there at 6 when they open.

Good luck out there fellas.  I have been there a few times with no success.  Don't be discouraged though.  I have a problem: when I don't get bit, I lose my patience pretty quick and get discouraged.  Xsquid and Hobieblue have had success there.

Check this out for some motivation and ignore my post.

I would join you but I have to work.  Go figure, work on monday, what's the world coming to.  :smt003

Post a report.  I need all the info I need so I can one day dominate that place.  I am on a need to know basis since I am 10 minutes away.

Good luck.
