At the north end of Moonstone Beach is Leffingwell Landing the most protected launch in the area. Don't back your car off of the ramp onto the beach unless you want to get towed. Park in the small lot at the top of the ramp or on Moonstone Drive. After launching, head south first to clear the outside breakers. Fish south as far as 1/2 mile south of Cambria Rock but no further to stay clear of the White Rock SMCA. Work the kelp edges with small swimbaits, scampis or jigs. Tip your lures with squid. If you are getting hung up, kelp tie. If you head north, there is deep water structure off of San Simeon State Park. After fishing, grab a burger and micro brew at the West End Bar and Grill or a chicken pot pie at Linn's. Good luck and welcome to NCKA!!!  :smt006
