MI yet again: Non-kayak, non-CA, but there's a big fish :)

Again, I'll pretty much lift my post on riversmallies.com...

I hit the same bend tonight, after doing a little more recon. I found that there were a ton of 1 1/2" or so crawfish in the river, and started fishing a 4" green pumpkin/black flake senko pinched off into 1" sections. Wound up with about 8 bites, with 4 smallies and a crappie to hand. Again, the fish were not so big, 8-10 inches. Then there was the 10 pound carp that I brought in. That was a bit of a hoot.

P.S. - That's a 6'6" ML rod, Symetre 2500, and 6 lb test
