They're slaying the salmon off muir beach.  I'd go there for sure.  Hope it lasts until the weekend.

the tide is low in the morning, the wind is up in the afternoon-not the best for the bay.  i will be in my big boat, trolling for halibut and stripers between sfo and the san mateo bridge. you may want to stick to the ocean.

If I had the day off--and the winds in the morning were looking okay-- I'd launch from Muir (north side) and troll for salmon. If the winds are ugly in the morning, then launch out of Loch Lomond marina in San Rafael, then troll your yozuri crystal minnow (blue is my fav, with a feather rear hook), between the marin islands.  When the winds start to pick up-- hightail it back west of Loch Lomond into the SR canal.

There have been fish in both places since at least Mon.  This evening I was stuck on the lochlomond jetty- but still managed 3 (all 12-16").

The "Bay/Delta Enhancement Stamp" is required of anyone that fishes in the SFBay and Delta regions. In theory the money goes to helping conserve and restore bay habitat but it seems it is either not getting used or getting mis-used  :smt009

Anyways if you are fishing in the bay you have to have one of these or you will get a ticket/fine. I think they are around $5 or so.
