I will be in the area Wed., Thurs., and Friday.  I am pretty new to kayak fishing, but am an experienced fresh and salt water fisherman.  Practiced getting in and out of the water a couple of weeks ago.  Now I am coming back to do some serious fishing.  I am staying in Cayucos and will probably start out fishing close by.  Would love to check out Leffingwells.  Is that where you are going?  Not sure if I can make it on Wed. morning.  My child care doesn't arrive until Wed.  Let me know if you will be fishing any other days.  If you or anyone else will be fishing the area mid week, let me know.

Thanks,

Mike

I plan on launching at Leffingwells. We should be there all day or at least that is the plan. Plan is to get a ling and some rockfish. My freezer is empty so I need to fill it.

Good luck. If you head south past Cambria rock, stay north of the White Rock SMCA http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/jpegs/ccmpas/cambria_chart.jpg. If you head north, there is good deep water structure off of the San Simeon state park. BTW, don't back your truck down past the end of the ramp onto the pebble beach at Leffingwell. Had a real laugh watching a BMW SUV being towed after getting stuck last year. Money but no brains.  :smt005
